Frequently Asked Questions

What separates us from other financial advisors?

We’re independent advisors with over twenty-five years of experience helping clients like you make everyday financial decisions with confidence.

Because we’re independent, we are free to select from among the world’s leading investment strategies, products and providers to offer you the best financial solutions.

We’ve successfully steered clients, and client portfolios, through life’s transitions and several challenging market cycles.

Our personal, concierge-level service will keep you informed, engaged, and on track through good times and bad.

We understand how important it is to understand money so you can make smart decisions, control your own future, and live the life you’ve always imagined. We’re here, on your side, to help you do just that.

What does being a Fiduciary mean?

It’s simple. We work for you and only you. Your best interest is our only concern.

By law, we are fiduciaries, which means we always put you first and will always act in your best interest.

Did you know that many financial advisors are not fiduciaries, and operate under a less stringent “suitability standard”?

An advisor who is not a fiduciary may not have your best interests in mind, according to a recent U.S. News & World Report article. “As the law currently stands, broker dealers, insurance salespersons and advisors operating under the “suitability standard” are merely required to ensure an investment is suitable for a client at the time of the investment.”

That may cost you in unnecessary and undisclosed investment and commission expenses. In fact, writes U.S. News & World Report, “the President’s Council of Economic Advisers estimates that non-fiduciary advice costs Americans 1 percentage point of their return annually, which amounts to $17 billion each year.”

What is a Fee-Only Financial Advisor?

Unlike many other advisors in the industry, we do not charge or receive commissions for recommending investments or managing client portfolios.

A fee-only advisor like Adam Financial Associates recommends only commission-free investments for client portfolios.

Our investment advice is never influenced by payments from product vendors.

That’s important because it means you can be assured of impartial, objective and bias-free guidance.

What is your investment minimum?

We recommend our signature Wealth Management services for individuals with $200,000 or more to invest. For accounts below that level, a minimum quarterly fee will apply.

For our AFA Advantage portfolio service, we welcome clients with $5,000 or more to invest.

What type of clients do you work with most?

We work with clients in Florida, across the country, and even some who reside abroad.

They all have something in common.

They all want an advisor they can trust. They’re looking for a trusted partner to educate them about their financial options and map out a financial roadmap, so they can build a rewarding and secure life for themselves and their loved ones.

Here are some profiles of our typical clients:

  • People concerned with making their money last in retirement
  • Women investors
  • Busy professionals
  • Individuals in transition due to divorce, inheritance, or a loved one’s death
  • Small business owners
  • Corporate executives
  • Aging but active investors
  • Young professionals building wealth or raising a family
